Hello and Welcome!!
As you can see, this is a blog page, and you can expect that I'll be adding to it on a regular basis. I plan to post a new entry either weekly or whenever the Spirit moves me to with posts ranging from stuff that catches my attention in the news to different kinds of thinking about or doing things. Something that comes to the forefront of my mind is a new look at meditation so that will be the topic of this first post. I first came across this form of meditation at the Enlightened Beings website. I've put it into my own words but the premise is still the same:
For hundreds (maybe thousands) of years, people have been taught to meditate - especially here in the west - by breathing in all the Joy, Love and Compassion and breathing out all the misery, ugliness and negativity. Well, after so long a period of "dropping" all of our negative aspects out into the world it's time we took a hard look at what we've created!! Where has all that anger, frustration and hatred gone? It's not hard to find - all you have to do is turn on the news any night of the week.
Well, for a truly powerful and revolutionary change in our world, it's time to make a truly powerful and revolutionary change to how we think/meditate. For the next thousand years and more, let's look at meditation like this:
- breathe IN all the nastiness, bitterness, anger, frustration and negativity;
- allow it to enter your Heart Center and let the power and energy of your Sacred Heart transform these elements; then,
- breathe OUT only the Joy, Love, Compassion, beauty, blissfulness, brightness and positivity - let THESE elements now fill our world and our beings.
Now, imagine what Earth will look like after a thousand years of THIS kind of thinking and doing!!
In Service & Gratitude,
"When you breathe out, pour yourself into existence. This is the method of compassion: drink in all the suffering and pour out all the blessings. You will be surprised what happens when you do it. The moment you take all the sufferings of the world inside you, they are no longer sufferings. The heart immediately transforms the energy. The heart is a transforming force: drink in misery, and it is transformed into blissfulness... then pour it out. Once you have learned that your heart can do this magic, this miracle, you would like to do it again and again. Try this beautiful method of compassion: take in all the misery and pour out all the joy." ~ Osho
